Some copiers are built based on trickle charge systems that require toner to be mixed with carrier so that it will magnetically attract to the drum and fuse to paper. Such systems are good for maintaining print consistency and their developer units usually last longer.
Most colour copiers require a separate developer unit for each colour toner. These developer units have a limited lifespan that requires replacement when printouts get lighter.
In response to customers’ requests, we are currently running field tests on Toshiba developer for use in some of its older mono copier models. If all goes well, it will be ready for launch by mid-September.
